Liposuction Surgery
Lipoplasty is the correct name for what most of us know as liposuction surgery, a cosmetic treatment which removes fat from the body; this normally works best for the thighs, bottom and stomach as it can treat this problem when some other methods fail. Whilst at first this seems like an ideal fat removal method, the downside is that it often returns; unfortunately this usually occurs in a different area - one that was possibly fat free before!
Two basic techniques of removal are used; the tumescent technique and Ultrasonic. Tumescent is one of the latest advances in this type of treatment which is now is one now of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgeries in the USA.
There is less bruising with this method which is an additional benefit from the use of a smaller tube. Tumescent liposuction surgery is now the procedure of choice with cosmetic surgeons because the adrenaline added to the solution used, cuts down the bleeding that normally happens.
The Ultrasonic liposuction surgery method is an addition to the traditional treatment but it allows surgeons to remove more fat, especially from areas in the body that were difficult to treat previously.
It is possible, even though rare, for internal injury to occur owing to the fact the surgeon cannot adequately see where the probe is once it's inside the body when performing the traditional technique of removing fat. The best advice when considering this course of treatment is to consult with the surgeon about the best and safest technique.
liposuction surgery is normally straightforward procedure but can have adverse side effects and on occasion death although the odds against this happening are something in the region of five thousand to one. To help reduce this risk, physical examinations are necessary for all subjects to make sure that every individual is healthy enough for the procedure to go ahead. Patients are told to keep wounds clean after the procedure and given antibiotics to avoid possible infection at this vulnerable time. Cosmetic surgery is improving all the time, so are the techniques to perform it and methods to avoid complications.
One interesting alternative to regular liposuction surgery is called Lipo Dissolve which uses a number of small injections to dissolve fat but it is normally limited to individuals with cellulite and other related conditions. Lipo Dissolve can also be administered in combination with any other non-surgical skin treatment and does not require any anesthesia since it is virtually painless.
