Liposuction Information
Arm Liposuction
Arm Liposuction
Another very popular cosmetic treatment to remove excess fat is arm liposuction; usually from the thighs, bottom and stomach. Whilst at first this seems like an ideal fat removal method, the downside is that it often returns; annoyingly, this can happen in a completely different area to where it was taken.
If you are planning to have the treatment you will probably be offered one of two common methods, Ultrasonic or tumescent although there are others. The Tumescent method is the most commonly practiced technique of the two main ways of removing unwanted fat from Americans today.
There is less bruising with this method which is an additional benefit from the use of a smaller tube. The Tumescent arm liposuction technique is so effective at minimizing blood loss that the majority of patients lose less blood during the surgery than they do at their routine pre-operative laboratory tests.
Ultrasonic arm liposuction offers smoother results than traditional arm liposuction and it is more effective in treating the awkward, fibrous areas including the upper back.
During the more traditional technique it is difficult for the surgeon to see where the probe is and therefore it is possible to puncture or damage internal organs. If you are considering this type of treatment then discuss it with your cosmetic surgeon who will be able to give advice on the most appropriate method for you.
As with any type of medical procedure, arm liposuction does have some risk attached although professional cosmetic surgeons take great care of their patients. Anyone considering this treatment will need to have a medical examination first to confirm they are in good physical health for the procedure to take place. Infections can occur after any surgery so some physicians prescribe an antibiotic to patients because of the importance of keeping wounds clean until they heal. Fortunately, fat removal techniques have improved a great deal in recent years.
By using a number of tiny injections, Lipo Dissolve, another process akin to arm liposuction, removes the fat from cellulite and related skin complaint sufferers. Of course the greatest benefit to patients undergoing this process is the fact that no form of anesthetic is required and it does not interfere with other cosmetic skin treatments where surgery is not required.
